It's a bit unnerving to see some cute girl sing my lyrics under her breath. Something stupid this way comes indeed.
It's looking to be a busy summer for the It'll Grow Back boys. They booked a whole slew of shows in May (and a couple in July) including dates with The Symbolick Jews, The Shrine, Psychostick, Stab City and more. The band will also be playing the Legal Violence and Grassroots festivals in Fresno.
We've been busy, no joke. Lots of shows, lots of fun.

Like: Tonight, we'll be on the Dirty Dowdy podcast talking about ... whatever it is they talk about. Sex, it seems like. Rock and roll maybe? Then, next weekend we'll be part of the third annual (forth year) Fresno Urban Sound Experience. It's a two-day music festival with more than 30 local bands (all genres). We're playing Friday night at Karma. Check out the website for a full schedule to be released soon. After that we'll be in Stockton Oct. 9 with the Independents. These guys have been one of my favorite bands for a long while now and we are super excited (and lucky) to be playing with them again. If you're anywhere close, you should come out to the show. November is a bit farther off, but we'll be playing with Spreading Evictions at C.A.F.E. Infoshop in Fresno, so look for that.
It'll Grow Back's latest "Warps Your Mind" is now available for digital download. The album features all six-songs from the 7-inch record, plus two exclusive bonus tracks. If you're old-school type and want an actual record, get yourself to the the record-release show, Aug. 5 (THIS FRIDAY) at Tokyo Garden.
After its record-release show, It'll Grow Back is taking a vacation and hitting the road. The band will make two stops: Aug. 19 in Stockton at the Plea for Peace Center (with Secretions/Dumb Fox/Carbonites/9:00 News) and Aug. 20 in Portland (at the Alleyway with Tiny Knives/No Tomorrow Boys). Don't worry, they won't be gone long. The band is back in Fresno Aug. 26 at Babylon (w/ Whatever the Matter/Sawtoorth) and Aug. 31 at Audie's Olympic to help celebrate Ubie's 21st birthday (w/ iwanaga/the Velisha/the 32s/Born Loser and the Deadbeats).
We now have an official release date for "Warps Your Mind." It will be available Aug. 2 at CdBaby and various indie stores around town. Until then, it's been added to the local rack at KFSR, so feel free to call in the request. Jefferson Beavers has made "Bret Easton Ellis" part of his evening eclectic set list. We thank him for the support.
